INSTALLATION

Lots of help makes light work!

Step 1

Begin laying your sod along the longest, straightest edge in your yard, such as a driveway or sidewalk. Butt and push edges tightly against each other without stretching. Avoid gaps and overlapping.

STEP 2

Stagger the rolls of sod in a brick like fashion. This helps produce even coverage.
Use a rake to tamp the turf down as you work.

STEP 3

WATER IMMEDIATELY after installation, at least 1 inch of water and not more than 30 minutes after installation. Remember that one gallon of water in the first hour does more good than 6 gallons of water three hours later.

STEP 4

Don't forget to water!
Water daily for the first week, every other day for the second week and then less frequently. Weather conditions will dictate the amount and frequency of water.

STEP 5

Fertilizer
A newly sodded lawn needs a different blend of fertilizer than an older established lawn. We recommend to start with a Turf Starter fertilizer.
*While your new sod is establishing its root system, it is important to limit the traffic on it for two weeks.
